Karen Lanxon, M.Ed, LPC & Owner

Hey y’all! I’m Karen.

As a Christian, a wife, and working mom…

I GET IT.

It can be difficult to balance all the things and easy to lose yourself in the midst of it all. In times that I have allowed myself to pour from an empty cup, I’ve experienced…

  • anxiety

  • chronic fatigue

  • increased irritability

  • feeling unappreciated

  • feeling overwhelmed

  • a sense of failure and self-doubt

BUT…my favorite scripture says, “For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. To give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 2:11

This scripture is such an encouragement to me because no matter how drained, discouraged, unappreciated, or inadequate I have felt, I know there is hope; a better way…a GREATER way.

So, if you’ve lost joy and hope in knowing:

  • you DO still have a PURPOSE,

  • your dreams DO MATTER,

  • there is A BETTER WAY to balance it all: mommying, wifing, working, and all the things.

I’m here to help you reclaim your joy, obtain hope and feel confident in your purpose again!

F.T.E.R. MODEL

F-Face it. It can be difficult to face and accept challenging seasons of our lives. However, accepting the reality of our circustance is the first step to healing.

T-Trace it. With compassion and support, identifying the root cause of our situation and symptoms helps to bring understanding and clarity to our situation.

E-Erase it. We cannot erase events from our lives, but we can erase or overcome the impact and unhealthy coping behaviors that have resulted from the challenging events.

R-Replace it. The best way to rid ourselves of unhealthy coping and behaviors is to replace them. Learning and practicing new coping skills will decrease, if not erase, the unhealthy coping skills and lessen the power the negative events have over us.
