Frequently asked questions.

  • Greatness Awaits Counseling Services PLLC is currently a Telehealth counseling office offering services to people across Texas. We look forward to offering face to face services in the future.

  • I work with teens and adults ages 13 and up.

I have a passion for helping moms and other women who are overwhelmed with work-life balance, experiencing burn-out and a loss of self, hope and dreams.

I also have a passion for helping teens and at risk youth navigate life; helping them create healthy boundaries and process all the emotions that come along with being a teen.

  • Nope. My specialty may be working with moms, but I do see male clients as well.

Are you a male or know a male who could benefit from my services? Feel free to schedule a free 15 minute consultation to see if we would be a good fit.

  • In our first session together, we’ll explore your needs, your goals, and how I can best support you. It’s completely natural to feel a bit nervous or unsure about whether counseling is right for you—know that you're not alone in that feeling.

This is your space, and I’m here to honor your comfort level. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on what matters most to you. You are the expert of your own life (even if that doesn’t feel true just yet!), and together, we’ll work to uncover your strengths.

With compassion, acceptance, and yes, even a little laughter, I will guide you on a journey toward feeling confident, refreshed, and balanced again. After our first session, we’ll continue to work together, developing a personalized plan that helps you face the challenges life brings with greater clarity and strength.

  • Teletherapy is a flexible and powerful way to access the support you need, right from the comfort of your own space. Many people find it just as effective as in-person sessions because it allows you to fit therapy into your life with ease. What matters most is the connection and trust we build together—and we can achieve that whether we're in the same room or meeting virtually. Plus, you can engage in therapy from wherever you feel most comfortable, which often helps clients open up even more.

  • GA Counseling Services is an Out of Network Provider. This means we do not partner with your insurance. However, we partner with Mentaya- a company that can get you reimbursed 50-80% for therapy using out of network benefits.

  • Individual Therapy Sessions: $150 for a 60 minute session.

Limited Sliding Scale slots available for clients facing financial restraints.

  • We accept most major Credit, Debit, HSA, and FSA Cards.

  • I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel less than 24 hours, you will be charged for the missed appointment.

  • Good Question:

    Benefits for the Client:

    1. Greater Provider Choice: Clients have the flexibility to choose the therapist that best meets their needs without being limited to an in-network list.

    2. Privacy: Avoids getting a formal diagnosis. Details of therapy sessions do not have to be shared with insurance company.

    3. Potential Reimbursement: Clients may still receive partial reimbursement from their insurance company, depending on their out-of-network benefits.

    4. Specialized Services: OON therapists may offer specialized or niche services that are often not covered by insurance.

    Benefits for the Therapist:

    1. Autonomy in Practice: Therapists have more freedom to set their rates according to their expertise and value, and determine their approach to therapy without having to conform to insurance guidelines or limitations.

    2. Less Administrative Burden: OON providers typically deal with fewer insurance-related administrative tasks, such as claims processing, prior authorizations and waiting to get paid.

In summary: Clients have greater freedom and privacy, and therapist have greater freedom and opportunity to be valued and pay bills on time.
